i-STEM PRP Tube (Pack of 10)/Made in Korea
What is PRP?
Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) is a concentrated plasma derived from blood that contains a high number of platelets. These platelets release growth factors that play a key role in tissue repair and regeneration.
What is Buffy Coat?
The buffy coat is a thin layer that forms after centrifugation and contains most of the platelets and white blood cells.
Is PPP the same as PRP?
No. Platelet-Poor Plasma (PPP) does not meet the concentration required for PRP. For plasma to be considered PRP, it must contain at least 1,000,000 platelets/µl. Adding more PPP only dilutes the mixture, reducing its effectiveness in treatment.
Does the buffy coat make up only 1% of whole blood?
Yes. The buffy coat represents about 1% of total blood volume but contains a concentrated number of platelets and white blood cells essential for therapeutic use.
Benefits
- No risk of rejection – Uses the patient’s own blood
- Quick and simple procedure
- Minimally invasive – No surgical incision required
- Addresses the root cause of regeneration
- Powerful and long-lasting results
How to Use
1. Blood Collection: Draw 17cc of blood with 2cc of anticoagulant (ACD-A) into a 20cc syringe.
2. Transfer: Place the collected blood into the i-STEM PRP Tube.
3. Centrifugation: Separate the blood components with a single spin centrifugation (no secondary centrifugation required).
4. PRP Extraction: Collect 2–3cc of PRP using a 3ml syringe.
